Roland van den Hout / Senior Manager, Product Marketing

Roland van den Hout is a seasoned sporting goods marketer, who has held a variety of positions at leading sports companies Nike and ASICS.

At Nike Roland was part of the newly founded European Retail team responsible for the rollout of the London and Berlin Nike Towns, the first of its kind outside the United States.

During his 10-year employment at ASICS he was part of the management team that reshaped the brand from a predominately running oriented company into the multi-sport company it is today. He developed a mix of marketing activities, sales promotion campaigns, and product lines that contributed towards the realization of the commercial objectives and enhancement of the brand appearance of ASICS. During the six Olympic Games held between Sydney 2000 and Vancouver 2010, Roland conceptualized and drove multiple teams responsible for the uniforms worn by the Dutch Olympic Teams. He also led teams that successfully launched new ASICS product groups such as Field Hockey, which established itself as the market leader in several European countries after just 3 years, and under his supervision the Onitsuka Tiger sub-brand was introduced and became a well-recognized fashion brand.
